Uploading files
Images
Use an image key (cnf_img_) with POST /api/v1/upload, or chunked/presigned paths for larger screenshots.
Upload an image
curl
curl -X POST https://app.back2rp.org/api/v1/upload \
-H "Authorization: Bearer cnf_img_your_key" \
-F file=@screenshot.png \
-F folder=Screenshots \
-F 'metadata={"player":"32","reason":"report"}'Keep originals
Image uploads may be compressed for CDN delivery. If you need the original PNG/WebP bytes unchanged, use a file key and POST /api/v1/file instead (or the matching chunked file routes for large assets).
curl
curl -X POST https://app.back2rp.org/api/v1/file \
-H "Authorization: Bearer cnf_fil_your_key" \
-F file=@texture.pngSize & large images
- Maximum upload size is 100 MB.
- Prefer chunked uploads or presigned URLs when the full multipart body would be too large for your host (the FiveM resource switches images to chunked above 3.5 MB).
Visibility
New API uploads are stored as public by default, so the returned CDN URL is safe to embed in Discord or UIs. Visibility can also be pending or hidden (for example portal uploads that require moderation). Non-public files are not served on the public CDN until approved or made public again.
Tips
- Prefer server-side uploads so players never see your API key.
- For NUI / client uploads, use presigned URLs or a trusted server proxy.
