Storage & retention

Control how long media stays online and whether images are compressed on upload.

Open settings

Go to Dashboard → Files → Settings.

Retention

You can enable automatic deletion for images, videos, and audio separately. Available windows: 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days.

• Retention only applies when enabled for that media type.
• Files marked exempt from retention are kept.
• Purges run in the background based on upload age.

Image quality

Optional compression for image uploads via POST /api/v1/upload (and the matching media chunked path). When enabled, CDNForge may convert/compress images for smaller CDN delivery. Use a cnf_fil_ key with /api/v1/file (or /api/v1/file/chunked/*) when you need bytes unchanged.
