Deleting files

Remove a single asset from the file page, or wipe ranges of media from the danger zone.

Delete one file

• Open the file from Dashboard → Files.
• Click Delete and confirm.
• The database row and stored object are removed.

Bulk delete

Go to Dashboard → Files → Danger. Choose media types (images / videos / audio), optionally set a date range, then run the purge.

API

Authenticated clients can delete via DELETE /api/v1/files/{id} using a dashboard session or a scoped API key that matches the file type (cnf_img_ / cnf_vid_ / cnf_aud_ for matching MIME, or cnf_fil_ for any file). Logs keys cannot delete files. Response body is {"ok": true}. See the interactive API.
