Custom CDN domain

Use a hostname like cdn.yourserver.com instead of the default CDN host on public file URLs.

Setup

  1. Open Dashboard → Domain.
  2. Enter the hostname you want to use.
  3. Create the DNS record shown on that page (usually a CNAME to the CDN target).
  4. Click verify once DNS has propagated.

After verification

  • New public URLs for your org use the custom domain.
  • Old default-host links still work if the object exists.
  • Unverified domains are not used for public URLs.

Cloudflare tip

If you proxy the hostname through Cloudflare, make sure the origin / bucket mapping matches the instructions on the Domain page. Orange-cloud vs DNS-only depends on how your CDN is connected.

Default host

Without a verified custom domain, files use the platform default (for example cdn.back2rp.org).
